Service Description
Laser hair removal uses light emitted from a medical laser to stop hair growth. It's based on the principle of light being attracted to and absorbed by the melanin (pigment) contained within the hair follicle. The light damages the hair follicle, gradually making it unable to regrow hair, which leads to permanent hair removal. An average of six to ten treatments are needed. PRE-TREATMENT CARE -The area to be treated must be clean-shaven. Unshaven clients will be charged $10 extra/rescheduled. -Avoid UV exposure 7 days prior to your treatment. -Clients who are sunburned or tanned must wait 2 weeks before being treated to avoid additional skin damage. -Avoid sunless tanning products 7 days prior to your treatment. It is recommended that you exfoliate the area to remove any residual color. -Clients should come to appointments with clean skin in the area to be treated. -All clients who are treating any part of their face or neck will be required to cleanse their entire face prior. -Avoid chemical peels and other laser procedures in the area to be treated for 2 weeks prior and two weeks after your laser treatment. -Avoid all alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxyl products (AHA/BHA), hydroquinone, retinols/retinoid, Tazorac, and Differin for 7 days before treatment. -Clients with any abnormal lesions, moles or spots on the area to be treated must be cleared by a medical practitioner -Clients must stop waxing, tweezing and chemical epilation 3 weeks prior to treatment.
Cancellation Policy
Lates, Cancellation and No- Show/ No Call Policy Lates There will be an 5 minute grace period for appointments before you are considered late. Later than 5 minutes will result in your appointment cancelled and a fee of $20.00 applied to future appointments. SM Body Care will try our best to accommodate you by scheduling a same-day appointment but this is not guaranteed. To schedule future appointments, the fee of $20 must be paid. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy To cancel or reschedule an appointment, SM Body Care requires a MINIMUM of 24 hours. All appointments MUST be cancelled by the client through our website. Appointments will be rescheduled once with the deposit or full amount paid previously if it was cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours. If the client does not cancel with a minimum of 24 hour notice, then the appointment if paid in full or deposit will not be honored. Cancelling and rescheduling appointments more than once will result in the deposit or appointment total to not be honored. All deposits are non-refundable and transferable once. Failure to abide by the following will result in a $20.00 fee plus half of the appointment total to book future appointments. No-Shows/ No-Emails No-Shows/ No- Emails will not be tolerated. SM Body Care will send out reminder emails but It is the client's responsibility to keep track of their appointments. In the event were the client is not sure, SM Body Care can always be contacted by email. Leave a detailed email and we will get back to you within 24 hours. There will be a fee of $50.00 that will be applied to your appointment for no-shows/ no-email. It MUST be paid in order to book future appointments. SM Body Care strives to give you affordable services in a timely manner. We respect your time so please respect ours. For any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
